Kalyan Jewellers India Limited today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation (TNMSC) for the supply of one-gram, 22-carat, 916-grade BIS-hallmarked gold rings across various locations in Tamil Nadu, under the state government’s ‘Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam’ scheme. Under the terms of the Award of Contract, Kalyan Jewellers will supply 38,550 units of one-gram, 22-carat gold rings.
The ‘Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam’ is a Tamil Nadu Government welfare initiative aimed at distributing gold rings to eligible beneficiaries across the state. Kalyan Jewellers’ role under the contract will involve the manufacture, hallmarking and delivery of the rings to designated locations as specified by TNMSC.

Kalyan Jewellers currently operates 30 showrooms in Tamil Nadu and has launched its first regional brand Akshaya Thanga Maligai in Chennai.
