New Delhi: LISSUN, one of India’s leading mental health platforms, has announced the launch of Ray AI, a first-of-its-kind AI parenting co-pilot on WhatsApp designed to guide families of children experiencing developmental delays in speech, motor, learning, or social skills. Built on LISSUN’s proprietary data and insights from thousands of inputs, Ray AI empowers parents with daily, evidence-based guidance in their own language, anytime and anywhere.
Launched on World Mental Health Day, Ray AI will be freely available to all parents on whatsapp, creating an accessible path for early identification and intervention. Ray AI is designed for parents who experience the emotional toll of navigating their children’s developmental or mental health challenges. It extends gentle support for caregivers’ mental wellbeing, encouraging them to care for themselves while supporting their children.
Parenting brings joy but also constant pressures, and it’s easy to feel unheard or judged. With busy lives, finding support at the right time isn’t always possible. Ray AI is here to be your trusted parenting ally—a mental health buddy available anytime, anywhere, so you always have someone to listen and support you.
“Every parent of a child with developmental challenges experiences an emotional journey filled with questions, fear, and hope,” said Dr. Krishna Veer Singh, Co-founder and CEO, LISSUN. “We have been on the quest to provide safe spaces for Indian families and children to access mental health support and Ray AI helps us extend this support further. It is designed to stand beside them as a supportive guide that listens, understands, and helps families take informed steps toward their child’s growth and wellbeing.”
The launch of Ray AI builds on the success of Sunshine by LISSUN, the company’s specialized child development and therapy division. Since its inception, Sunshine has provided therapeutic and learning support to over 10,000 children with special or developmental needs across India. Starting with its first centre in Delhi in 2023, it has grown into a network of 20 centres across seven states and eight major cities, and is on track to reach 50 centres by 2026.
“Ray AI is a natural evolution of our mission to make mental health and developmental support available to everyone,” said Tarun Gupta, Director and Co-founder, LISSUN. “It extends our reach beyond physical centres and brings personalised, culturally sensitive guidance to parents wherever they are.”
Sunshine by LISSUN provides diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and rehabilitation programs through a multidisciplinary team of child psychologists, special educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and ABA therapists. The division focuses on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), two of the most common yet underdiagnosed conditions among Indian children. It also addresses speech and learning difficulties, behavioural issues, and emotional wellbeing for both children and their families.
“With Ray AI, we are combining human expertise with intelligent technology to build continuity between home, therapy, and community,” said Abhishek Sharma, Chief Technology Officer, LISSUN. “It helps parents feel confident and supported in their daily routines while creating data-backed insights for better long-term outcomes.”
An estimated 30 million children in India need developmental support but have limited access to affordable therapy. To bridge this gap, LISSUN has built an omnichannel model that integrates its network of in-person therapy centres with a comprehensive digital ecosystem powered by Ray AI. This approach ensures that mental health and developmental care remain accessible, inclusive, and continuous, empowering families across India to take charge of their emotional and developmental wellbeing.
