Kochi : Tradex Kerala 2026, an international buyer–seller meet aimed at enabling Kerala’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to showcase their products to global buyers and access new export markets, will be held in Kochi on February 17 and 18. As part of the initiative, the logo of Tradex Kerala 2026 was unveiled by P. Rajeeve, Minister for Law, Industries and Coir, at a recent function held here.
The Minister said Tradex Kerala 2026 would serve as a key platform for firmly positioning Kerala’s products and entrepreneurs in the global marketplace.
The event will enable around 300 entrepreneurs to interact directly with over 30 international buyers. It will go beyond networking by generating export orders and memoranda of understanding (MoUs), thereby strengthening Kerala’s industrial base. According to NITI Aayog rankings, Kerala has moved up from 19th to 11th position among export-ready States. This potential of the state can also be used effectively,” he added.
Tradex Kerala 2026 is being jointly organised by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce and the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO). By bringing leading international buyers and industry representatives to the State, the event provides a dedicated platform for local entrepreneurs to engage in direct business-to-business (B2B) interactions. The programme will ensure active participation of women entrepreneurs and extend special consideration to enterprises from industrially backward districts.
Through Tradex Kerala 2026, MSME entrepreneurs will be able to hold direct business discussions with international buyers and enter into export agreements without intermediaries, said P. Vishnuraj, IAS, Director of Industries and Commerce.
The event is being organised as part of the Kerala Brand (Nanmma) initiative, which certifies Kerala-made products and services for quality, ethical practices, and sustainability, thereby enhancing their acceptance and credibility in global markets. As part of the programme, a series of workshops and training sessions will be conducted to empower entrepreneurs. These will include expert guidance on product branding, packaging, export standards and documentation, along with personalised mentoring on B2B pitching.
Entrepreneurs from sectors such as agri and food products, spices, marine and seafood products, tea and coffee, home furnishings and interior products, coir, handloom, textiles and garments, electrical and electronics, rubber, and PVC products are eligible to participate in Tradex Kerala 2026. For registration and further details, entrepreneurs may contact the respective District Industries Centres.
