MAHE to host community run promoting mental health awareness, powered by Federal Bank

Manipal: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, through its Department of Student Affairs, is set to host the 5K RUN for Mental Health on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM, starting from the EDU Building, Manipal. Powered by Federal Bank, this flagship wellness initiative addresses the critical importance of mental health awareness, creating a platform for meaningful dialogue and community action through physical activity and collective support.

The run recognizes that mental well-being remains a cornerstone of academic excellence and personal growth. As educational institutions worldwide grapple with rising mental health challenges among students and staff, MAHE takes proactive steps to foster a culture of awareness, support, and destigmatization. This event serves as more than a race as it represents a collective commitment to promoting mental wellness, spreading awareness, and supporting a meaningful cause that touches every member of the campus community.

The initiative is structured to encourage broad participation across MAHE’s diverse community, with separate prize categories for male and female participants across three groups: MAHE Students, MAHE Staff, and MAHE Staff Dependents. Winners in each category will receive cash prizes, with ₹5,000 for first place, ₹3,000 for second place, and ₹2,000 for third place. All finishers will be recognized with commemorative medals, and registered participants will receive event t-shirts.

Registration is now open for all interested participants, with fees set at ₹200 for MAHE Students, ₹300 for MAHE Staff, and ₹354 for MAHE Staff Dependents.
