Moglix Appoints Amit Kumar as Managing Director and Chief Business Officer

Bangalore : Moglix, one of Asia’s largest B2B industrial commerce and deep tech platforms, today announced the appointment of Amit Kumar as Managing Director and Chief Business Officer. Based in Ahmedabad, he joins Moglix’s central leadership team with a mandate to build and scale the company’s emerging business segments and new opportunity areas.

Amit brings over two decades of experience across business leadership, management consulting, and enterprise transformation. Most recently, he served as Group CEO and Executive Director at Symphony Limited, where he led company’s overall P&L growth, supply chain restructuring, and large-scale digital adoption across the organisation over nearly five years. Before Symphony, he held senior roles at KPMG India, EY, and PwC across consumer durables, automotive, chemicals, steel, FMCG, and diversified industrials, advising enterprises on operations improvement, procurement, manufacturing, and business transformation. He began his career with GE Aircraft Engines in their new product development team. He also co-founded a data analytics company focused on business modelling and advanced analytics for enterprise clients. He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Kanpur.

Rahul Garg, Founder and CEO of Moglix & Credlix, said: “India’s industrial transformation is not a forecast anymore. It is happening, on the ground, in factories and supply chains and boardrooms, right now. Moglix is building the infrastructure this new industrial India runs on. That is not just a company ambition. It is, in a real sense, a contribution to how Bharat competes and grows over the next decade. Amit has built and scaled businesses in exactly the conditions and sectors that define this moment. His joining reflects our conviction about what this company is becoming.”

Amit joins a leadership team that has been deliberately expanding Moglix’s scope in step with the scale of the opportunity.

Amit Kumar said: “Bharat is at a point where the industrial foundations being laid today will shape the economy for the next decade and beyond. Being part of Moglix at this stage, contributing to building a disruptor of global scale from India, is an opportunity that does not come often. That is what brought me here.”

The appointment comes as Moglix grows beyond its origins as a procurement marketplace into the operating infrastructure of India’s industrial economy. Its supplier network today spans over 45,000 vendors. Credlix, its trade finance platform, channels working capital through India’s export corridors. Cognilix, its AI supply intelligence product, brings data-driven decision support to enterprise procurement at scale. Together, they reflect a deliberate expansion into the full commercial stack that industrial India needs as manufacturing deepens, and global supply chains continue to reorganise around the country.
