Bengaluru : Responsible financial behaviour is simpler than it sounds. Yet, basic financial concepts are often buried in jargon, surrounded by cautionary language, and relegated to fine print.
CRED Foundation is changing that. Its first educational ads deploy humour, wit, and celebrities to take on different aspects of credit in under 60 seconds each. The campaign comprises four ads – each led by a different celebrity – that strip the intimidating aura around credit, instead making it fun to understand and manage responsibly.
CRED Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit company funded by equity voluntarily contributed by CRED leadership, team, and investors. Established with the belief that creditworthiness shouldn’t be a privilege for the affluent alone, CRED Foundation undertakes initiatives that enable financial inclusion, financial education, and consumer protection across India.
Miten Sampat, interim CEO, CRED, said, “While creditworthiness unlocks opportunity and access, it has been shrouded in esoteric language so far. As an extension of the CRED mission to catalyse financial progress, CRED Foundation’s new campaign closes the gaps in understanding with humour and clarity. It’s the first step in our effort to make financial literacy a right for every Indian.”
