NewEra Hospital Launches Integrated Advanced Trauma Care Centre in Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai: In critical moments, timely medical care can make all the difference for patients and their families. Keeping this in mind, NewEra Hospital has launched an Integrated Polytrauma and Emergency care in Navi Mumbai to ensure that patients receive prompt and well-coordinated treatment during emergencies such as accidents, strokes, and severe injuries. The centre is designed to reduce delays and provide immediate medical attention, helping patients receive the right care at the right time. Along with treatment, the focus is also on easing the stress faced by families by ensuring continuous support throughout the treatment journey.

As part of the launch initiative, commitment to community safety, NewEra Hospital also donated 200 barricades to the Navi Mumbai Police to support better traffic management and help reduce road accidents across busy roads. This initiative reflects the hospital’s focus on preventive healthcare by contributing to measures that can protect commuters and save lives.

The inauguration of the Advanced Trauma Centre was graced by Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Yenpure, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai. The event was attended by Guest of Honour *Dr. Sunil Kutty, Brain & Spine Surgeon; Dr. Sanjay Dhar, Director – Orthopaedics Department; Dr. Vinod Vij, Consultant Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon; Dr. Chandrashekhar T, Consultant Critical Care Medicine; Dr. Manish Pendse, Consultant Physician & Diabetologist; Dr. Nishant Tavde, Consultant – Internal Medicine; and Dr. Ram Khare, Consultant – GI, Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgery, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Mataprasad Gupta, Vice President & CEO.

With coordinated teamwork and clear communication, the hospital ensures that patients move smoothly from emergency care to recovery and rehabilitation.

Dr Sunil Kutty, Director, NewEra Hospitals, Consultant Brain and Spine Surgeon, said, “During emergencies, patients and their families often go through a lot of stress and uncertainty. Our focus is to ensure that care begins without delay and is delivered in a well-organised manner. The Trauma Care Centre is designed to assess patients quickly, prioritise treatment based on their condition, and provide timely intervention. This approach not only improves medical outcomes but also gives families a sense of reassurance during difficult moments.”

Dr Sanjay Dhar, Director Orthopedics Department, added, “Trauma care is not just about immediate treatment but also about ensuring a smooth recovery. Multiple teams need to work together at the same time, and coordination plays a very important role. From emergency procedures to critical care and rehabilitation, we have aligned every step to support patients through their recovery journey and help them return to normal life as safely as possible.”

Dr. Mataprasad B. Gupta, Vice President & CEO, said, “We remain dedicated to creating a reliable support system for patients during emergencies, where they can receive timely care without confusion or delays. This Trauma Care Centre will provide assurance, patient comfort, safety, and recovery.”
