NISM and TrackWizz Collaborate to Strengthen RegTech Education, PMLA Compliance and Market Surveillance

Mumbai : The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and TrackWizz, the RegTech platform of TSS Consultancy Private Limited, have entered into a collaboration to strengthen technology-enabled education and capacity building in regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering (AML) and market surveillance through NISM’s RegTech Lab.

The initiative aims to bridge the gap between understanding regulatory requirements and applying them in practice. Through structured learning programmes, technology demonstrations and case-based simulations, students and capital market professionals will gain practical exposure to how technology can support the identification of suspicious transactions, financial malpractices and potential money-laundering activities.

The RegTech Lab will facilitate experiential learning using case studies and simulated scenarios informed by domain expertise and capital-market compliance practices. Participants will explore key stages of the compliance process, including risk assessment, transaction monitoring, alert analysis, investigation and regulatory reporting. The initiative will support NISM’s broader objectives of professional education, research, innovation and capacity building in the securities markets.

TrackWizz will contribute its technology platform and subject-matter expertise in AML, CKYC compliance and market surveillance to support the Lab’s learning objectives. The collaboration will provide an opportunity to connect regulatory concepts with practical applications of RegTech in the capital markets.  TrackWizz by TSS supports a significant share of RegTech compliance requirements across the capital markets and their stakeholders, bringing substantial industry experience and technological expertise to this collaboration with NISM.

Shri Shashi Krishnan, Director, NISM, said, “Our vision is to build capacity for our capital markets using new-age technologies and innovative learning models. The RegTech Lab seeks to bridge the gap between knowledge of regulatory requirements and their practical application, preparing professionals who understand both market conduct risks and the technologies that help identify and address them.”

Shri Sagar Chandrakant Tanna, Founder and CEO, TrackWizz – TSS Consultancy, said, “We are committed to combating financial crime and believe that domain expertise, combined with technology, is essential to strengthening the RegTech ecosystem. Our experience in surveillance technology will contribute to this initiative by helping learners understand how technology can support compliance and the detection of financial misconduct.”

The collaboration was formalised through an exchange of the agreement at the NISM–TrackWizz Collaboration Meet held at the TSS Consultancy office in Mumbai. The event was attended by Shri Shashi Krishnan, Director, NISM; Shri Chandrakant Tanna, Chairperson, TrackWizz – TSS Consultancy; Shri Sagar Tanna, CEO; Shri Malay Shah, CTO; Shri Amit Amlani, CFO; Shri Sanket Nagesh Ahire, Manager, NISM; and other stakeholders from both organisations.
