Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has said, completely peaceful conduct of Panchayat elections in the state proves that people have full faith in democracy.
Addressing media persons in Jammu on Wednesday, the Governor said, it shows that people of the state are eager to get the redressal of their issues through elected representatives.
He said, Jammu and Kashmir is as safe and secure as any other part of the country.
Mr Malik appealed media fraternity to highlight the constructive things rather than giving unnecessary and exaggerated hype to negative happenings of the state.
The Governor said, his administration has been making all efforts to ensure proper utilisation of the funds meant for development of the state.
