Pracheen Kala Kendra hosting 14th Web Baithak

Pracheen Kala Kendra presents WEBaithaks Episode 14 on Friday 11th September 2020 8pm onwards.In this Baithak Vocal Recital by a melodious Internationally acclaimed vocalist from Kolkata Vidushi Rosy Dutta Pandit.She will be accompanied on Tabla by Sh Nemai Kumar Dutta and on Harmonium by Sh Moinak Das .

Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh is the premier educational organization which is doing yeoman service for the promotion, preservation and dissemination of Indian classical arts of music, dance and fine arts (painting) since its inception in 1956.  The Kendra is the only organisation of its kind which has facilities to cover the whole gamut of education and training in music, dance and fine arts (painting). The Kendra provides adequate facilities for research and training, supported by an extensive library of books, audio and video cassettes on these subjects. The Kendra has a well-equipped hostel for foreign and Indian students pursuing their career in the field of performing and visual arts.


The Kendra is a recognized institution which has a duly framed constitution to govern its day to day affairs. It has a General Body and the Executive Board consisting of eminent educationists, social activists, former bureaucrats and artists.

The Kendra has acquired professional competence and expertise in holding various examinations in the subjects of Music, Dances and Fine Arts which are conducted through a network of more than 3,500 affiliated centers i.e. schools/institutions of Music and Dance situated not only in all over India but so also in various countries abroad including USA, UK, Canada, Mauritius, Singapore, Nepal, Kuwait, Malaysia, South Africa, Dubai, etc. The student strength of over three lakhs makes it the largest organization in the field of arts education.
