Mangaldai : 37 Battalion SSB , Mangaldai has celebrated the 57th raising day of SSB in its battalion head quarters at Bezpara near here on Sunday. In this connection various sporting events including football, short distance race , tug of war and music chair besides cultural performances and adventure shows by dog squad of the unit have been organized. Officers and jawans of the battalion along with the members of the officers’ wives’ club ‘Sendiksha’ took part in the celebration. Speaking on the occasion Joy Gopal Namasudra ,Commandant of the battalion offered his greetings to the officers and jawans of the security force guarding all the international borders and also threw light on its glorious history. Suresh J Babu, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai and local Panchayat leader Anita Rajbongshi also attended the ceremony as the invited guests.
