Mumbai: St. Jude India ChildCare Centres (St. Judes) is proud to announce that it has been honored with the esteemed “Best Civil Society Award” for the year 2022-23 by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability. This prestigious accolade was presented to St. Judes in recognition of its outstanding contributions to corporate governance and sustainability practices.
The award ceremony took place in St Regis, Mumbai, on the occasion of the 10th Asia Business Responsibility Summit, where Judge Prof. Mervyn King, Chairman Emeritus of the International Integrated Reporting Council UK and Chairman of the Global Advisory Board of the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability, presented the award to Ms. Manisha Parthasarathy (Chairperson, St. Judes) and Mr. Anil Nair (CEO, St. Judes).
The Best Civil Society Award presented by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability, aims to raise the standards of corporate governance and sustainable development while recognizing exemplary efforts by companies, industry leaders, and directors. These awards have gained significant recognition since their inception in 2006 and have become a hallmark event in the corporate calendar of India.

St. Judes also recently launched “Happy Healthy Meals,” a special recipe book featuring nutritious recipes curated by dedicated parents of young cancer warriors undergoing treatment. This initiative reflects the organization’s ongoing dedication to promoting holistic well-being and healthy living among its beneficiaries.
St. Judes operates 43 centers across 11 cities in India, offering free accommodation, education, transportation, counseling, and holistic nutrition to children from rural areas undergoing cancer treatment. Regardless of economic background, St. Judes ensures that every child finds solace and support during their challenging journey.
St. Jude India ChildCare Centres (St. Judes) provides a ‘home away from home’ for children undergoing cancer treatment. They provide free, safe, hygienic accommodation, basic education, transport to and from the treatment centres, counseling and holistic nutrition to needy affected children traveling with their parents from rural/semi-urban areas to big cities to seek the best cancer treatment.
The NGO has gone a step further to set up St. Judes for Life (Founded in Memory of Mrs. Rani Vicaji) – to support Judians – St. Judes alumni who are now survivors, thereby fulfilling the organization’s motto ‘Once a St. Judes Child, Always a St. Judes Child’. The mission of St. Judes for Life is to ensure that timely and appropriate assistance is available to St. Judes alumni to complete their education, maintain good health, and lead successful lives.
