Thiruvananthapuram : Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited (NSE: STARHEALTH; BSE: 543412), one of India’s leading standalone health insurance companies, organised a free health screening camp for the employees of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Thiruvananthapuram. The camp was held at the temple office on October 29, 2026.
Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is among the most revered shrines in the country. The temple takes its presiding deity, Lord Vishnu in the reclining Anantha Shayanam posture, as the source of the city’s own name. It remains one of Kerala’s most visited places of worship, drawing 50,000+ devotees every day. Its daily functioning rests on a large team of employees who manage rituals, devotee movement, maintenance and administration through the year.
Brigadier Anand Kumar, Executive Officer, Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and Mr. Suresh R S, Business Head, Kerala, Star Health Insurance, were present among others during the inauguration of the camp. It was organised in association with Ananthapuri Hospitals and Research Institute, and Precise Eye Care Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, and was held at the temple office. Through the initiative, Star Health brought preventive healthcare services directly to the employees at their workplace, making routine health screening more accessible.
The camp brought together preventive screenings and specialist consultations under one roof. Participants received vital parameter checks, ECG and routine blood tests, along with general eye examinations, and consulted a cardiologist, a general physician and an ophthalmologist.
Healthcare professionals also counselled participants on regular health checks, early identification of health risks and the importance of timely medical intervention. Employees identified as requiring further evaluation were advised appropriate follow up with the respective hospitals.
Mr. Suresh R S, Business Head, Kerala, Star Health Insurance, said: “The teams who serve at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple are central to the experience of every devotee who visits. Preventive health screenings can help identify potential health risks at an early stage and encourage timely medical evaluation. Through this camp, employees of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple had access to basic health assessments, cardiac screening, blood tests and eye examinations at their workplace. Our association with Ananthapuri Hospitals and Research Institute and Precise Eye Care Hospital helped bring these services together at a single location. We will continue to support initiatives that improve access to preventive healthcare and promote greater awareness of the importance of regular health monitoring.”
The camp forms part of Star Health’s ongoing community health engagement, through which the company supports preventive screening and health awareness initiatives for institutions and communities across the country.
