New Delhi : Patients across Delhi and North India suffering from persistent dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders will no longer need to travel across the country for specialised neurotology care. Pacific One Health has launched the Institute of Neurotology & Centre of Excellence for Vertigo and Balance Disorders in Lajpat Nagar, South Delhi, under the leadership of Dr. Anirban Biswas, widely recognised as the “Father of Vertigo” in India for his pioneering work in neurotology and vestibular medicine.
The launch fills a long-standing gap in specialised care in North India, where dedicated neurotology centres have remained limited despite the growing burden of vestibular disorders. Patients from Delhi, NCR and neighbouring states have often travelled to cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai for advanced diagnosis and treatment. The new centre is expected to serve as a referral hub for patients from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
The need for specialised care is significant. An estimated 15–20% of adults experience dizziness every year, while nearly one in three people will develop a vestibular disorder during their lifetime. The burden rises sharply with age, with balance disorders becoming one of the leading causes of falls, fractures and loss of independence among people over 60 years.
With over four decades of clinical experience, Dr. Biswas has played a pivotal role in advancing neurotology in India by introducing modern vestibular diagnostics, rehabilitation protocols and specialised training in balance disorders. The Institute of Neurotology & Centre of Excellence brings together advanced vestibular diagnostic technologies and a multidisciplinary team comprising neurotologists, neurologists, ENT specialists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation experts and psychologists to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care under one roof.
The facility offers advanced vestibular evaluation, medical management, vestibular rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, balance retraining and personalised rehabilitation programmes tailored to the underlying cause of each patient’s condition.
The launch marks a significant addition to Delhi’s specialised healthcare landscape, positioning the capital as an emerging destination for advanced diagnosis and management of vertigo and balance disorders while improving access to expert care for millions of patients across North India.
