VB-G RAM G launched across Madhya Pradesh

The central government’s scheme, Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) known as VB-G RAM G, was launched across Madhya Pradesh today. Its goal is to boost rural employment and livelihoods. The scheme has replaced MGNREGA nationwide from July 1.

Public meeting-cum-launch programmes are being held in all districts of the state. These events are live-streaming the central government’s national launch ceremony. Under the scheme, rural households will now get a guarantee of 125 days of work per year. Wages have also been increased, and payments will be sent directly to bank accounts within a week.

The programmes are also informing people about the digital system, transparent payment process, social audits and technology-based monitoring. The state government says the mission will give new momentum to rural development and livelihood empowerment.
