Bengaluru : Vidyashilp Academy has been ranked the No. 1 co-ed day school in Bengaluru and in Karnataka in the EducationWorld India School Rankings 2026-27. This is the second year in a row that Vidyashilp Academy has held the top position in both the city and the state. Nationally, it is ranked sixth among co-ed day schools.
The rankings are based on one-on-one interviews with parents, teachers, educationists and senior students across India, who rate schools on 14 parameters of education excellence. A school’s rank reflects how the people who know schools best see it, not what the school says about itself.
Holding the top spot for a second year matters more than winning it once. A ranking built on the views of thousands of parents and educators is not easily kept. Keeping it means the school has been doing the same things well, year after year: teachers who know every child, classrooms where children are expected to think for themselves, and a community that is involved in the life of the school.
Ms. Kalai Selvi, Head of School, Vidyashilp Academy, said, “Being ranked first again is not something we take lightly. What I value most is that this comes from how parents and educators see us, not from a form we filled in. It tells us that what happens in our classrooms every day is being noticed. The credit goes to our teachers, who make the effort to know every child, and to our students, who make the school what it is.”
Dr Kiran Pai, Managing Director, Vidyashilp Education Group, said, “Vidyashilp Academy has always set the standard for everything the group does. Being the top co-ed day school in Bengaluru and Karnataka two years in a row is a proud moment for all of us. But rankings are not the goal. The goal is a child who leaves us curious, confident and kind. That is what we work towards every single day, and it is what this ranking recognises.”
