Hyderabad: Wadi Surgicals Pvt. Ltd., owner of the Enliva® nitrile glove brand, has partnered with Hubertus Medical Products Pvt. Ltd. to introduce Enliva Active™, a black, food-safe nitrile glove developed specifically for India’s HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering) industry.
India’s foodservice market is among the country’s fastest-growing consumer sectors, valued at approximately $85.2 billion in 2025 and projected to reach $153.4 billion by 2031 at a CAGR of 10.3%. Growth across restaurants, hotels, QSRs, catering and organised foodservice has elevated demand for products that support hygiene, safety and professional food handling.
Enliva Active is India’s first dedicated black nitrile glove designed for HoReCa, offering a Made-in-India alternative for food preparation and handling environments. The black colour provides clear visual contrast against food, helping users spot glove fragments in case of tearing.
The collaboration reflects the power of Indian manufacturing partnerships to create products tailored for domestic market needs, rather than simply replicating existing offerings.
Production of Enliva Active has commenced at an initial capacity of approximately 60 lakh gloves per month (7.2 crore annually), with plans to scale to 1 crore gloves per month as demand grows. Wadi Surgicals also intends to develop export markets for the product.
