XLRI Jamshedpur has opened admissions for Batch 9 of its Executive Development Programme in HR Analytics, designed to equip working professionals with practical capabilities in evidence-based people management and workforce decision-making.
As organisations increasingly adopt artificial intelligence, automation and digital workforce systems, HR professionals are expected to contribute to strategic decisions related to talent acquisition, employee retention, performance management, compensation, workforce planning and organisational development. However, many organisations continue to face a gap in converting workforce data into relevant and actionable insights. The service partner for this programme is Jaro Education
The programme seeks to address this need by helping professionals apply analytics to real-life people-management challenges. Its curriculum covers three key dimensions:
- Descriptive analytics: Understanding workforce patterns and developing relevant HR metrics
- Predictive analytics: Using available data to anticipate people-management outcomes
- Prescriptive analytics: Recommending actions based on analytical findings and organisational context
Participants will learn to capture and clean data, develop customised HR metrics, select appropriate analytical models and interpret quantitative and qualitative findings. Applications across staffing, attrition, training, performance management, compensation, leadership, organisational culture and organisational development will also be covered.
The programme includes exposure to Organisational Network Analysis, SPSS and Microsoft Excel. Participants may also use R, SAS, Stata, MPlus or Excel add-ons based on their familiarity. The programme focuses on the practical application of analytics and does not require prior expertise in mathematics or statistics.
Prof. Gloryson R. B. Chalil, Associate Dean, Corporate and VIL, XLRI Jamshedpur, said,
“HR analytics is not merely about analysing numbers. It involves identifying the right organisational questions, interpreting workforce information within its business context and converting insights into better people-management decisions. The programme will help participants apply analytical approaches to workplace challenges and develop evidence-based solutions.”
The application-oriented pedagogy includes live lectures, case studies, analytical exercises, assignments, tutorials, peer-group work and faculty-led discussions. Participants will also undertake an HR analytics project based on an organisational requirement and receive faculty feedback.
The programme is suitable for HR business partners, talent-acquisition professionals, learning and development practitioners, HR operations executives, people-analytics professionals, HR consultants and other professionals involved in workforce decisions.
