Global Knowledge Campus organized two important social awareness programmes this week through its constituent institutions — the Global Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) and the Global Hiramoni Memorial Nursing Institution (GHMNI). Both events reflected the commitment of the campus towards rural development and community health awareness.
The Global Institute of Management and Technology observed Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Day by arranging a visit to nearby villages to get an insight into the local ecosystem and to understand the needs and aspirations of the villagers. Students and faculty members interacted with local residents, shared ideas on sustainable development, and encouraged community participation in rural progress. The programme aimed to strengthen the vision of empowering rural India through knowledge and innovation.

The Global Hiramoni Memorial Nursing Institution marked the observance of World Diabetes Day 2025 by organizing an awareness rally in the Chakdignagar community area. The rally was followed by a presentation on diabetes at the local sub-center, focusing on prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyle practices. The event helped spread valuable information about diabetes management among local residents.
These initiatives demonstrate the continued efforts of Global Knowledge Campus to link classroom learning with real-life social responsibility, encouraging students to contribute positively to society.
Mr. Subhankar Das, Executive Chairman of Global Knowledge Campus, shared his thoughts on the initiatives: “At Global Knowledge Campus, we believe education extends beyond the classroom. Through activities like Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and World Diabetes Day awareness programmes, our students learn the true value of community service, empathy, and social responsibility. These experiences help them grow not only as professionals but also as responsible citizens dedicated to nation-building.”
