The International Road Federation (IRF) warmly welcomes the Union Budget and appreciates the Government’s continued and strategic emphasis on infrastructure development and logistics efficiency, which are critical enablers of India’s economic growth.

Mr. K. K. Kapila, President Emeritus, International Road Federation (IRF), said, “The Budget reinforces the Government’s long-term vision of building a modern, resilient and globally competitive infrastructure ecosystem. The sustained push towards highways, multimodal logistics parks, urban mobility, and last-mile connectivity will significantly reduce logistics costs, enhance supply chain efficiency, and improve ease of doing business across sectors.”

He further added that increased investments in road transport, freight corridors, warehousing, and technology-driven logistics solutions will not only accelerate economic activity but also generate employment and improve regional connectivity. “A well-integrated logistics and transport framework is essential for India to achieve its aspiration of becoming a $5 trillion economy. The Budget’s focus on infrastructure-led growth is a step in the right direction,” Mr. Kapila said.

IRF remains committed to supporting the Government through knowledge-sharing, global best practices, and capacity building to ensure sustainable, safe, and efficient transport infrastructure across the country.
