As students prepare for undergraduate admissions in India and abroad, awareness of test timelines has become increasingly important. Registering early not only helps students avoid unnecessary stress, but also gives them more time to prepare, access official practice resources, and plan their broader application journey.

The SAT continues to play an important role in helping students demonstrate academic readiness across a wide range of higher education systems. SAT scores are accepted by over 3,000 universities and colleges globally, including a growing number of institutions in India.

Speaking on the announcement, Ms. Meenakshi Kachroo Chatta, Senior Director & Regional Head, South and Central Asia at College Board, said: “Students today are applying across multiple countries, courses, and pathways, which makes flexibility and planning more important than ever. Knowing key SAT dates well in advance allows students to make more informed decisions about when to test, how to prepare, and how to align their scores with university application timelines.

A strong SAT score can help students strengthen their academic profile, stand out in competitive applicant pools, and in many cases improve access to scholarships and merit-based opportunities. Approaching the process early can help students keep options open across institutions and countries, while navigating admissions with greater confidence and clarity.”

College Board continues to support student readiness through free, official SAT preparation on Khan Academy, free peer-to-peer tutoring through Schoolhouse.world, and full-length practice tests available on the Bluebook app. Students who require a device for the digital SAT can also access support through the Device Lending Program.

The digital SAT is designed to provide a more flexible and student-friendly testing experience, with features such as adaptive testing, shorter test duration, and faster score reporting. Students are encouraged to stay updated through official College Board channels and complete their registrations within the stipulated deadlines.
