Goa : The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, will host the Spirit of Goa Festival 2026 from April 24 to 26 at the SAG Ground, Colva, from 6 pm onwards. The three-day festival will bring together Goan cuisine, local spirits, music, and craftsmanship, offering visitors an experience rooted in the state’s cultural identity.

A key highlight of the festival is the showcase of Goa’s traditional food and beverage culture, with a special focus on local delicacies and the state’s heritage drink, feni. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore food stalls, witness live cooking experiences, and engage with the distillers participating to learn about the traditional distillation practices associated with local spirits.

The festival will commence with a performance by the Kanta Gawde traditional dance troupe, featuring a graceful, captivating lamp dance immediately after the inauguration ceremony, setting a vibrant, culturally rich tone for the celebrations. Building on this, the three-day event will host an exciting lineup of live performances, with Day 1 featuring popular bands Junktion, Shine On Band, and Danceophilia Band; Day 2 showcasing 24K India Band, Crimson Band, and Big City India Band; and Day 3 bringing performances by Lynx Band, Pure Magic Band, and Truly Yours Band, ensuring a dynamic, high-energy, and entertaining musical experience for visitors throughout the festival.

In addition, dedicated spaces for artisans and local entrepreneurs will showcase handicrafts, textiles, and homegrown products, support small businesses and promoting Goan craftsmanship. Interactive elements such as workshops, mixology sessions, and cultural demonstrations will further enhance the visitor experience, offering a deeper understanding of Goa’s traditions and evolving cultural landscape.

Speaking about the festival, Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa, said: “The Spirit of Goa Festival has emerged as a marquee event in Goa’s tourism calendar, showcasing the state’s rich cultural and culinary heritage in a way that is both engaging and accessible.
