The Constitution Club of India held the Save the Earth Conclave 2026 on April 22, 2026, in New Delhi. This event is intended to change how we talk nationally about climate change and sustainable development. The focus of this conference is on how to maximize climate and sustainability solutions. It is an opportunity for policymakers, industry leaders, and social organisations to meet.
The keynote speaker at the event Honourable Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, stated, “In India, bamboo serves both to preserve the environment, but it also offers strength to the rural economy.” He referred to bamboo as “green gold” and emphasised that we should provide support for the bamboo-based industry to grow.
Maharashtra Minister of State Ashish Jaiswal, Agricultural Price Commission Chairman Pasha Patel, and Ajmera Fashion Limited Founder and C.E.O. Ajay Ajmera were also present on stage.
Ajay Ajmera noted in his speech, “Bamboo fibre garments are not only good for the environment; they also last longer and promote health. By providing proper policy support to the bamboo textile industry, India will create a new brand for itself internationally. This can be the base for creating many jobs and a wealth of new businesses.”
A key highlight of the conclave was a symbolic bamboo plantation. It represented a message for a greener future. Speakers unanimously emphasised that only through the combined efforts of government, industry, and society can India move toward sustainable development.
