The government today termed as fake an order circulating on social media purportedly issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, claiming that petrol and diesel prices have been increased. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) clarified that no such order has been issued by the government. Employee Provident Fund Organisation-EPFO is set to launch a dedicated digital platform to facilitate identification, tracking, Universal Account Number (UAN) linking and activation of old EPF accounts. The portal is named EPF Aadhaar-Based Access Portal for Tracking Inoperative Accounts (E-PRAAPTI).
