Noida : HDFC Bank, through its CSR programme Parivartan, in partnership with Round Table India, has inaugurated a new primary wing at the Government Composite School, Chajjasri Village, Sector 63, Noida, under Round Table India’s flagship Freedom Through Education (FTE) initiative. The project has transformed the campus into a fully integrated, 32-classroom modern learning facility serving approximately 1,300 students annually.
This initiative directly addresses the need for strengthened educational infrastructure in the region for children from underserved communities. Prior to the intervention, students were studying in makeshift sheds and open spaces, exposed to extreme weather conditions. The project delivers safe, and modern learning environments, aligning HDFC Bank’s long-standing mission to improve access to quality education and strategic CSR focus on sustainable community development.
HDFC Bank Parivartan funded the construction of 12 new classrooms, the renovation of 8 existing classrooms, 3 sanitation blocks, and sports facilities. A further 12 classrooms were added through Central and State Government support. The campus now features a Staff Room, Library, Computer and ICT Lab, 2 Smart Classrooms, and full implementation of BALA (Building as Learning Aid) design, an approach that embeds learning cues into the architecture itself. The outcome is a 32-classroom, fully integrated learning facility.
The programme will benefit approximately 1,300 students annually, along with teaching staff, families of students, and the broader local community. Key outcomes include transition from informal, open-air learning to structured, modern classrooms; access to digital and smart learning infrastructure; improved sanitation and hygiene standards; and enhanced engagement through BALA-based experiential learning environments.
Speaking about the initiative, Nusrat Pathan, Head CSR, HDFC Bank Parivartan said, “Every child deserves a safe, dignified, and inspiring learning environment. Infrastructure is not merely physical; it shapes aspiration, confidence, and outcomes for the children who inhabit it. Education is the highest-leverage investment in nation-building, and it returns compound across generations. Long-term transformation happens when institutions collaborate with intent and discipline, as HDFC Bank Parivartan and Round Table India have demonstrated here.”
