NTA to re-conduct NEET (UG) 2026 examination on June 21; Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan assures fairness and transparency in exam process

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said that students are the priority of the government and the government is sensitive towards them.

Briefing Media in New Delhi, Mr Pradhan stated that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the 21st of next month as the date for the re-examination of NEET UG 2026. He added that appearing students will receive the admit card for the examination by the 14th of next month.

The Minister added that NEET UG examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from next year instead of existing OMR-based mode.

The Education Minister admitted that NTA requires definite reforms and said that steps will be taken to strengthen the examination system to prevent future irregularities.

Mr Pradhan noted that the government did not want any deserving student to be deprived of their rights due to the mechanisation of fraudulent candidates or the conspiracies of the education mafia.

The National Testing Agency ( NTA) has announced today the re-examination of NEET UG 2026 on 21st June. In a social media post, the agency has requested candidates and parents to rely only on the official channels of NTA.

Earlier, the exam, which was held on 3rd of this month, was cancelled due to an alleged paper leak and CBI is investigating the matter.
