New Delhi : Glen Appliances Pvt Ltd, one of India’s leading kitchen appliance brands, today unveiled “Apnapan. Made better in Glen,” the beginning of a long-term platform that will define how Glen speaks to India, going forward.
The campaign is rooted in “apnapan”, a word that lives at the centre of Indian life. It is the feeling of being understood without explanation. The quiet, effortless knowing that exists between people who truly belong to each other. Apna, your own people, don’t wait to be told. They simply know.
Sharing his thoughts on the campaign, Amarpreet Singh Modi, Chief Marketing Officer, Glen Appliances, said: “Glen has always understood the Indian kitchen not as a category, but as a way of life. The people who cook know what their family needs before a word is spoken. That instinct, that warmth – that’s Apnapan. And that’s what Glen has always been. We just never said it out loud. Until now.”
It is this instinct that Glen’s products have always been built around: appliances designed for how Indians actually cook, what Indian families actually need, and how Indian homes actually live. “Apnapan. Made better in Glen,” is the articulation of that understanding, said out loud, clearly, for the first time. The campaign will go live on Meta, Google, and Jio Hotstar.
Rintu Dasgupta, Chief Operating Officer, Glen Appliances, said, “Glen has never compromised on product quality. That has always been our foundation. What this campaign does is give that foundation a voice, one that finally says out loud what our consumers have always felt. We are proud of what we make. And now we are proud to say it.”
Four Films. Four Moments of Being Known.
The platform launches with a slate of four films, each set in a real Indian home, each featuring a Glen product not as a hero demonstrated and sold, but simply presented, the way your own people always are.
● Film 1 — Chimney: A husband surprises his wife by cooking her favourite meal. No instructions. No request. He simply knew. A reminder that apnapan needs no translation.
● Film 2 — Air Fryer: A husband prepares a meal for his pregnant wife. When she walks in, surprised, he tells her quietly, “I know you and the baby were craving for it.” Anticipation at its most tender.
● Film 3 — Built in Hob: A sister quietly steps aside during her brother’s video call with his girlfriend, letting him take the credit for a meal she cooked. No recognition sought, no acknowledgement needed. Because that is what apne do, they give without keeping score.
● Film 4 — Newly Married Couple: (to be released in a few days) A husband proudly introduces his new wife to the Glen products he has brought home for their kitchen. She listens warmly, then reveals she has been a Glen user for years. He brought Glen, thinking it was new. For her, it was always apna.
