Telangana: Oil marketing companies confirm stable & sufficient supplies of petrol, diesel, & cooking gas across state

Oil marketing companies in Telangana have confirmed that petrol, diesel, and cooking gas supplies are sufficient and stable across the state. There is no shortage of any fuel product anywhere. The companies said they are closely monitoring supply and improving delivery systems. During the first half of May, petrol supplies increased by 14.2 percent and diesel supplies went up by 15.7 percent. Cooking gas bookings have decreased slightly due to the hot summer weather.

This is normal for the season. So far this month, 20.06 lakh domestic LPG cylinders have been delivered in Telangana, which is completely normal. The companies encourage customers to book gas cylinders through SMS, missed calls, phone systems, and online platforms. This makes the process easier and faster.

The companies also request customers to support a new system called “Delivery Authentication Code” or DAC. This uses a one-time password to prevent illegal diversion of cooking gas cylinders. It ensures gas reaches the right customers. Currently, 95 percent of deliveries in Telangana use this system. The companies are asking all customers to help reach 100 percent DAC adoption in the state. The government requests that the public get information from official sources only.
