Ramagya School, Noida to celebrate Birth Centenary of Legendary Surbahar Maestro Annapurna Devi
Noida : Ramagya School, Noida will host the Annapurna Devi Foundation Centenary Celebration Gala Musical Festival on 3rd and 4th July. The programme will mark the birth centenary of legendary surbahar maestro Annapurna Devi and bring together renowned Indian classical musicians for a two-day celebration of Hindustani classical music.
The festival is expected to be attended by students, parents, music enthusiasts and invited guests. The line-up of the artists includes Padma Shri Pt. Anup Jalota, celebrated for his bhajans and ghazals; Padma Shri Pt. Tarun Bhattacharya, noted santoor exponent; Vidushi Dr. Nabanita Chowdhary, Hindustani classical vocalist; Pt. Nityanand Haldipur, bansuri maestro; Pt. Lokesh Anand, renowned shehnai exponent; and Pt. Ashwin Dalvi, Surbahar artist. The festival will also feature performances by Smt. Shivani Kallianpur, Pt. Mithilesh Kumar Jha, Pt. Prosenjit Poddar, Pt. Jayshankar Mishra, Shri Sudip Chowdhury and Shri Kaushik Mitra.
The programme has been planned as a tribute to Annapurna Devi’s enduring contribution to Indian classical music while also creating an opportunity for young learners to experience the depth and diversity of the country’s musical heritage. Along with the performances, the festival is expected to provide an engaging cultural experience for the audience.
