L’Oréal’s Global Tech Hub joins hands with BITS Pilani Hyderabad to accelerate Beauty Tech innovation
Hyderabad : L’Oréal has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, one of India’s leading engineering and technology institutions. The collaboration with L’Oréal opens a direct channel to access the institute’s tech, AI, and data talent, spanning campus recruitment, curriculum engagement, and joint research.
The MoU was signed at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus in the presence of Mario Guasco, HR Director for Beauty Tech, L’Oréal and Prashant Vijay, Head of Global Tech Hub in India, L’Oréal along with Prof. D. Sriram, Director In-Charge, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus; Prof. M. Krishnamoorthy, Director -IRIS, Prof. Vamsi Krishna Venuganti, Dean AGSRD from BITS Pilani Hyderabad. L’Oréal and BITS Pilani will collaborate on joint hackathons and innovation challenges, guest lectures and seminars, and curriculum development, to build a strong, two-way exchange of expertise between industry and academia.
On campus, the visiting L’Oréal delegation gave BITS Pilani students a first-hand look at the technology behind the world’s largest beauty company, from Generative AI and Agentic AI applications to data engineering at scale. A showcase of L’Oréal’s key products in the Beauty Tech space rounded off the session, demonstrating how science, technology, and creativity converge in modern beauty.
L’Oréal Global Tech Hub in Hyderabad was announced at the World Economic Forum in January 2026. This first-of-its-kind Beauty Tech hub will serve as a flagship for crafting the next generation of AI-powered beauty innovation and services. With an initial investment of over ₹3,500 Crores (€350 million) through 2030, the hub is set to become a global powerhouse, unleashing the potential of Data, AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI, alongside emerging technologies.
This partnership with BITS Pilani is a key step in securing talent from India’s leading academic institutions.
