A Royal Culinary Journey from the Courts of Awadh to the Jewels of Hyderabad at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace
Hyderabad – Kangan, the signature Indian specialty restaurant at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, invites diners to experience MIRASIM, an exclusive culinary showcase that celebrates the rich gastronomic heritage of the Nawabs of Awadh and the regal kitchens of Hyderabad. Hosted from 12th to 16th August, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, this dining experience brings together treasured heirloom recipes, refined techniques, and royal indulgence on a thoughtfully curated menu.
Inspired by the timeless traditions of the royal dastarkhwan, MIRASIM has been curated by Chef Ashfaque Ali, Executive Chef, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, in collaboration with Chef Shakeel of Kangan, presenting guests with a journey through India’s most celebrated culinary legacies.
The experience begins with Lab-e-Mashooq, an elegant amuse-bouche of velvety paneer roulades filled with figs and toasted nuts, followed by the iconic Marag, a delicate Hyderabadi lamb broth slow-simmered with aromatic spices and fresh herbs.
The menu’s kebab selection showcases an array of royal specialties, including Gosht Pasanda, tender marinated lamb charred to smoky perfection in the tandoor; Zaffrani Murgh Sholay, saffron-infused chicken delicately roasted with milk and royal spices; Dhingri Gilawat, melt-in-the-mouth mushroom kebabs; and Zameen Doz Shikampuri, a traditional kebab crafted with lentils and yam.
For the main course, guests can savour signature creations such as Mash Kaliyan, slow-braised lamb shanks paired with black lentils and crisp fried onions; Murgh Rehmaniya Korma, a luxurious chicken korma enriched with traditional spices; Chaman Kundan Kaliyan, featuring cottage cheese and foxnuts in a velvety royal gravy; and Kathal ka Korma, tender jackfruit koftas delicately poached in an aromatic Mughlai-style sauce.
The royal feast concludes with Muzaffar, an exquisite saffron-scented sweet rice delicacy enriched with ghee, dried fruits, and nuts, offering a fitting finale to the experience.
