From Baku to Bengaluru, the flavours of Azerbaijan make their way to The Patio at 24/1, JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, as Chef Asif Hidayatov and Chef Latif Meybullayev of JW Marriott Absheron Baku bring the cuisine of their homeland to the city. Shaped by the crossroads of the Silk Road, Azerbaijani cooking draws from its rich landscape and centuries of culinary exchange, with open-fire cooking at its heart.
The menu offers a considered introduction to the cuisine, moving from Baku Salad, Yarpaq Sarmasi and Qutab with Lamb to the richly layered Shah Plov, Azerbaijan’s celebrated royal pilaf. Sadj Ichi, Bozartma and a selection of flame-grilled meats add depth to the table, while Azerbaijani Baklava and Sutlach bring the experience to a traditional close.
With its abundance of herbs, earthy spices and rich meats, the menu captures the generous character of the Azerbaijani table, tracing the flavours and traditions that define the cuisine of Baku.
