Mumbai : This Raksha Bandhan, The Orchid Hotel Mumbai celebrated the spirit of togetherness, inclusion and community with a special CSR initiative in association with the National Association for the Blind (NAB) India. The initiative brought together members of NAB for a day of meaningful interactions, creativity and festive celebrations at the hotel.

The celebration began with a warm welcome for the NAB members, followed by breakfast at the hotel. The festivities then continued in the lobby, where the participants came together for a Rakhi-making activity, creating colourful and handcrafted rakhis. Adding a personal touch to the celebrations, the Rakhis were then tied to guests at the hotel, turning the occasion into a shared celebration of the bond of care and togetherness.

The celebrations continued with a special dining experience at South of Vindhyas, where the guests from NAB were treated to a thoughtfully curated meal. The occasion was also graced by Dr. Vithal Venkatesh Kamat, Chairman, Kamat Hotels India Limited, who joined the celebrations and interacted with the participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vithal Venkatesh Kamat, Chairman, Kamat Hotels India Limited, said, “Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of bonds, but at its heart, it is also about care, respect and being there for one another. Our association with NAB gives us an opportunity to celebrate these values beyond the traditional festivities and create a moment of inclusion and togetherness. At The Orchid Hotel Mumbai, we believe that hospitality extends beyond our guests and into the community around us. It is heartening to see the joy and warmth that this celebration has brought to everyone who has been a part of it.”

Gaurav Shiva, General Manager, The Orchid Hotel Mumbai, added, “We are delighted to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with the members of NAB India and make the occasion meaningful through an experience centred around participation and togetherness. From creating the Rakhis to sharing them with our guests and enjoying a meal together, every part of the celebration was designed to make everyone feel welcome and included. We are grateful to NAB for being a part of this special day and for helping us celebrate the true spirit of Raksha Bandhan.”

The initiative reflects The Orchid Hotel Mumbai’s continued commitment to creating meaningful community engagement through its CSR efforts. By bringing the members of NAB into the hotel and involving them in the festivities, the celebration went beyond a traditional Raksha Bandhan gathering to create an inclusive experience that connected guests, colleagues and the wider community through the simple yet powerful act of sharing and celebrating together.
