BGMI Masters Series Season 5 heads into Playoffs as India’s top teams battle for a ₹1 crore+ championship prize
New Delhi : NODWIN Gaming, a global leader in youth entertainment, today announced the commencement of the Playoffs stage of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 5, as the tournament enters its decisive week with a ₹1 crore+ prize pool on the line. After three weeks of intense competition, six teams have already secured their places in the Grand Finals, while 16 teams will now battle through the Playoffs for the remaining 10 spots in the season’s championship showdown.
Over the course of the tournament, BGMS Season 5 has brought together India’s leading BGMI teams and players, delivering standout performances, dramatic finishes and intense rivalries. The tournament has already crossed 20 million+ total views, recorded a peak concurrent viewership of 220,000+, including watch parties, and accumulated 7 million+ watch hours, reflecting the continued passion of BGMI fans across the country.
iQOO Team Tamilas topped the BGMS Season 5 Super Weekend leaderboard with 460 points, securing a direct spot in the Grand Finals alongside Elite Nova Esports, iQOO SOUL, Nebula Esports, Gladiators Esports and IRIS MYTH. Tied at 11 Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCDs) each, Vasista Esports and Gladiators Esports top the tournament win count, while Hydro from Team Apex Gaming leads the MVP race with 198 eliminations.
The remaining 16 teams will compete in the Playoffs from August 31 to September 2, with the top 10 teams advancing to the Grand Finals. Among the teams heading into the Playoffs are iQOO Orangutan and GodLike Esports, who joined the BGMS Season 5 campaign during Super Weekend 1. Both teams now carry momentum from their international campaigns at the Esports World Cup, where they secured places in the Grand Finals of the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC). Their return to domestic competition follows campaigns against some of the world’s strongest teams on the international stage, adding another layer of intensity to the BGMS Playoffs.

The Playoffs will feature six matches scheduled daily beginning at 3:30 PM IST. The top-performing teams will then advance to the BGMS Season 5 Grand Finals from September 4 to 6, where India’s best BGMI squads will battle for the championship title and a share of the ₹1+ crore prize pool.
