Mumbai: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and a Maharatna PSU, is backing Team India as its Principal Partner at the 20th Asian Games, being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026. The partnership marks another significant step in BPCL’s longstanding association with Indian sport and its commitment to supporting athletes who carry the aspirations of a nation on the international stage.

Adding to the significance of the partnership, 13 BPCL-associated sportspersons are part of the Indian contingent at the Asian Games, representing the country across cricket, hockey, volleyball, badminton, archery, athletics, swimming and table tennis. The contingent comprises six BPCL-recruited sportspersons and seven athletes supported through the BPCL Scholarship Scheme, demonstrating the organisation’s multi-pronged approach to identifying, nurturing and supporting sporting talent.
