Gujarat Science City Organises Cleanliness and Environmental Activities under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Science City, Ahmedabad, organised a Seva Setu Abhiyan programme on 24 September 2026 as part of the statewide Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, being held from 17 September to 17 October 2026. A total of 467 Gujarat Science City staff members participated in the programme, alongside students and visitors. The activities promoted cleanliness, good hygiene practices, environmental conservation and civic responsibility.
The programme began with a collective cleanliness pledge at the Open Air Amphitheatre. Participants pledged to keep their surroundings clean and take responsibility for shared spaces.
An awareness rally across the campus highlighted proper waste disposal, waste segregation, personal hygiene and responsible behaviour in public places. Staff members and other participants also carried out a cleanliness drive in designated areas of the campus to reinforce the importance of keeping public spaces free of litter.
A tree-planting activity was held on the campus to encourage environmental conservation and increase green cover. Appreciation certificates were presented to cleanliness workers in recognition of their dedicated service in maintaining a clean environment at Gujarat Science City.
Through the active participation of its 467 staff members and other attendees, Gujarat Science City put the message of cleanliness, environmental conservation and civic responsibility into practice, strengthening its commitment to a cleaner, greener campus.
