mCaffeine brings back the legendary FIR? New campaign with an iconic cast!

Mumbai: Some comebacks are announced. Others simply walk into a beauty film. mCaffeine, India’s pioneering personal care brand, brings FIR favourites Gopi and creator Dharna for its latest campaign, ‘By The Blues’, created for its new By The Blues Body Lotion.

The film brings together FIR’s Gopi, creator Dharna and mCaffeine co-founder Tarun Sharma in a playful take on how skincare is usually communicated with a little help from one very holiday-like fragrance. Gopi brings his familiar curiosity and trademark questioning to the film, while Dharna brings the comic timing and personality that made her FIR character a fan favourite. Together, the duo tries to understand one simple question: how does a body lotion smell this much like Goa?

The Big Question

Here’s the situation. mCaffeine’s new 3-in-1 body lotion moisturises, fragrances and brightens but it’s the fragrance that steals the scene. With its aquatic woody scent, the lotion captures the unmistakable mood of a Goa getaway, minus the flight, road trip and carefully worded out-of-office reply.

So naturally, Gopi has questions. what follows is a playful, straight-faced interrogation of the product experience, with Dharna adding her signature humour and Gopi refusing to let the conversation move on without getting to the bottom of the Goa connection.

As the banter unfolds, the product takes centre stage, bringing its 3-in-1 benefits and long-lasting aquatic woody fragrance into the story rather than simply listing them as skincare claims.

The result is a campaign that feels less like a conventional beauty film and more like FIR making an unexpected comeback in the beauty aisle with a Goa state of mind in the air.

FIR Is Back, But Make It mCaffeine

The campaign marks an unexpected association of Gopi from F.I.R and Dharna, bringing the familiar FIR universe into a new setting and allowing mCaffeine to communicate its product in a way that feels entertaining, recognizable, and culturally relevant.

Rather than relying on the usual beauty-film playbook of clinical claims and serious skincare conversations, ‘By The Blues’ lets the product experience drive the story with humour, familiar characters and a fragrance that does most of the talking.

It is mCaffeine’s latest take on making every day personal care more experiential, entertaining and unexpected.

About the Product: The star of the film is mCaffeine’s By The Blues 3-in-1 Brightening Perfume Body Lotion, created to turn everyday body care into a more indulgent experience.

Powered by 5% niacinamide and glutathione, it helps brighten the skin while reducing the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation with daily use. Its 7% Deep Moisturising Complex provides up to 72 hours of moisturisation, while its long-lasting aquatic woody fragrance leaves skin feeling fresh and scented throughout the day.

In short: moisturisation, fragrance and brightening with a little Goa state of mind built in.Sunscreen, sunglasses and a Goa itinerary sold separately.

Commenting on the campaign, Tarun Sharma, Co-Founder, mCaffeine, said: “Getting Gopi and Dharna for an mCaffeine film is a full-circle moment for us. With ‘By The Blues’, we wanted to have fun with the way skincare is usually communicated. The lotion has a really interesting fragrance experience, so instead of simply talking about it, we built a story around that feeling. Gopi and Dharna brought exactly the energy we were looking for, and the result is something that feels very mCaffeine, unexpected, entertaining and rooted in the product.”

‘By The Blues’ rolls out across mCaffeine’s digital and social platforms, bringing together familiar FIR face, creator-led entertainment and a product experience designed to transport consumers to a Goa state of mind.
