Bengaluru : 403 Forbidden Bar in Bengaluru has introduced Decode India, a new cocktail collection by founder Aman Dua that explores India’s diverse landscapes, ingredients, culinary traditions and cultural influences through contemporary mixology. Inspired by five distinct regions- Ambarsar, Kathiawar, Narmada, Malabar and Patkai- the collection brings regional flavours into modern cocktails through techniques including fat washing, distillation, clarification, carbonation, infusion and lacto fermentation.

The collection features Ambarsar a warm and comforting blend of sesame fat washed rum, jaggery shrub, salt lassi foam and sesame jaggery candy; Kathiawar a dry and effervescent combination of gin, regional herb distillate, salinity and edible sand; Narmada bringing together blanco tequila, Mahabaleshwar strawberry, Goan Portuguese vinegar, Jwala chilli and suva khakhra crisp; Malabar an aromatic expression featuring clarified blended Scotch whisky, puli karupatti cordial, Tellicherry pepper tincture, Pondi parmesan and white chocolate; and Patkai featuring timur and Kolkata paan leaf infused blanco tequila, lacto fermented bamboo shoot and cooked rice and king chilli.

Alongside the collection, 403 Forbidden Bar presents the Decode Session, a 75 minute guided sensory experience available by reservation. Guests are taken through the five cocktails while discovering the flavours, textures, techniques and regional references behind each drink offering a deeper understanding of the creative process that shapes the menu.

With Decode India, 403 Forbidden Bar brings together Indian ingredients, regional narratives and contemporary cocktail craft to create a distinctive drinking experience. The collection invites guests to explore the country through flavour, discovering how ingredients can reflect the landscapes, traditions and cultural influences from which they emerge.
