New Delhi : Gallery Exhibit 320 presents Moving Between Fixed and Flow (Sat, 17th Oct – Mon, 30th Nov ‘26), a solo exhibition by Delhi-based visual artist Barkha Gupta, entirely developed at Hampi Art Labs. This marks the launch of PLATFORM|Exhibit 320, a new initiative on the first floor of the gallery, which has been dedicated to the showcase and programming for emerging artists in the gallery roster. Building on the gallery’s longstanding engagement with emerging voices, such as the presentation of Baroda Unbound: City as Studio, the platform creates a space for artists to develop their practices, hone their skills, reach new audiences and enter into meaningful conversations around their work.

Gupta’s practice examines the relationship between memory and space, using observation to extract textures, repetition, rhythm, colour, grids and interruptions from the landscape. Moving Between Fixed and Flow extends this through her interest in the mark as an intervention, drawing parallels between embroidery, sowing, stitching surface and cultivation, further developed during her time at Hampi Art Labs through textile and craft practices.

The exhibition explores such a vantage point in Gupta’s ceramic tiles as well. Each tile represents a small field, a fragment of terrain or unit within a larger landscape. Repeated across a surface, these individual units form a larger field while retaining their own marks and variations. As Gupta writes, her drawings are acts of “looking, selecting and remembering”, rather than attempts to reproduce a place literally.
