Healthcare spent decades bolting software onto broken workflows. A new generation of companies is doing the opposite, building around AI from day one. Here are ten shaping how care is documented, decided, discovered and accessed, in no particular order.
1. CureMeAbroad
Choosing treatment abroad has long meant guesswork. CureMeAbroad replaces it with proprietary AI that builds personalized pricing around each patient’s case, matches them to the best-fit treatment and hospital across 400+ accredited partners, and runs the end-to-end concierge journey, from first enquiry to aftercare.
2. Abridge
Few problems frustrate clinicians more than paperwork. Abridge’s ambient AI listens to the doctor-patient conversation and writes the clinical note, and it was named Best in KLAS for ambient AI. It has made Forbes’ AI 50 for three years running, and expects to support more than 100 million patient-clinician conversations across 300+ health systems this year.
3. Isomorphic Labs
Isomorphic Labs was formed in 2021 out of Google DeepMind to commercialise AlphaFold. In May 2026 it raised $2.1 billion in a Series B led by Thrive Capital, with Alphabet, Temasek and MGX among its backers. It now expects its first clinical trials by the end of 2026.
4. Hippocratic AI
Hippocratic AI builds voice agents for intake, scheduling, chronic-care follow-up and discharge outreach, with one firm rule: its agents do not diagnose or prescribe. It raised $126 million at a $3.5 billion valuation and reports more than 150 million clinical interactions to date. Its customers span providers, payers and pharma.
5. Commure
Administrative work is a vast cost in healthcare, and Commure puts it at roughly $1 trillion a year. It runs AI agents across revenue cycle, ambient documentation and coding on one platform, used by more than 500 organisations across over 3,000 sites of care. In May 2026 it raised $70 million at a $7 billion post-money valuation.
6. Heidi
Heidi began as an AI scribe and is now a broader clinical platform. It raised US$340 million in September 2026, including 1 million to US$50 million in two years.
7. Aidoc
In radiology, speed can decide outcomes. Aidoc’s clinical AI flags urgent findings, powered by its CARE foundation model and aiOS platform. It analyses more than 60 million patient cases a year across nearly 2,000 hospitals and raised $150 million in April 2026, taking total funding past $500 million.
8. Neko Health
Co-founded by Spotify’s Daniel Ek, Neko Health offers a 60-minute, non-invasive scan that captures millions of health data points to flag risks early. It raised a $700 million Series C in July 2026 at a valuation of close to $7 billion, and is preparing to open its first clinic in New York in late 2026.
9. Qure.ai
Qure.ai reads X-rays, CT and other scans in seconds. It closed a $65 million Series D led by Lightspeed and 360 ONE Asset, and describes itself as the world’s most deployed healthcare AI, in use at over 3,000 sites in more than 90 countries. The new capital is aimed at expansion and foundation models.
10. OpenEvidence
Medicine produces more research than any physician can read. OpenEvidence answers clinical questions with sources attached, free to doctors and funded by advertising. Its CEO says more than 40% of physicians in its home market use it. It raised $250 million at a $12 billion valuation in January 2026, and a further round has reportedly valued it higher.
