Bhopal: Additional Chief Electoral Officer Shri Arun Kumar Tomar informed that polling was completed for by-election in 28 assembly constituencies of 19 districts in the state amidst complete security arrangements and adherence to Covid-19 guidelines. The process of mock poll took place in the presence of the agents of candidates before polling. During the mock poll, 68 control units, 67 ballot units and 223 VVPATs which were found defective were replaced.
Polling started at 7 am, 47 ballot units, 38 control units and 169 damaged VVPATs were replaced during polling. Voters took part in polling with great enthusiasm. No incident of boycott of polling was reported in any Assembly constituency.
