Kokrajhar : Huge cache of arms and ammunitions were recovered from
a Scorpio vehicle at Nasraibil area under Saraibil border outpost of Gossaigaon police station in Kokrajhar district last evening.
Kokrajhar Superintendent of Police Rakesh Roushan said on the basis of a source information, that some miscreants equipped with arms/ammunitions and explosive are moving in a Scorpio vehicle at village Nasraibil area under Saraibil border outpost of Gossaigaon Police Station, Officer incharge of Saraibil Mithun Taye and his team stopped the vehicle bearing registration No. AS16A4165 which was roaming there and on search the vehicle recovered cache of arms and ammunitions around 7.30 pm yesterday.
The recovery includes five (5) AK 56, 8 AK 56 magazine, one HK 33E with a magazine, one UBGL, eleven (11)UBGL Cell, 8 Chinese Hand Grenade, 300 (three hundred) AK 56 ammunition along with BP Pouch, Mobile handset 5 nos, Blankets, Plastics, tooth brushes etc.
In this connection 6 ( six) persons have been apprehended who were carrying these Arms and ammunitions.
The apprehended persons have been identified as Snmanjay Basumatary alias Bogla, Rabinath Narzary alias Ganda, Pungka Basumatary alias Langkhu, Mwktang Basumatary alias Mamo,Manipal Mushahary,
Swmkwr Basumatary.
