Mangaldai : The State Minister for Power, Sports and Youth welfare etc Bimal Bora.has assured early sanction of several new power projects in Darrang and its neighbouring Udalguri under the Mangaldai Electrical Circle during his maiden visit to the district on July 26 last . Following discussions with the officials and consumers of APDCL , the minister has assured to set up a 33/11 kv power substation for the new food park under Union Food Processing Ministry and to be led by local prominent entrepreneurs group SRD at Bongalagarh near here .
Being satisfied with the project after talking to Anupam Deka of the SRD group , minister assured to consider it in the upcoming AIIB project under Mangaldai Electrical Sub Division . Minister also assured to install a new 33 kv line for reliable power supply to Dipila control room under Sipajhar Electrical Sub Division estimate of which was already sent to the higher authorities . Moreover he responded in positive to install a new 33 kv line through a easy terrain to overcome the risk factors of the present line passing through difficult terrains under Kalaigaon Electrical Sub Division in Udalguri . Meanwhile talking to this correspondent , Pranjal Kataki , AGM, APDCL , Mangaldai Electrical Division has termed the maiden visit of the Power minister to the district as very much positive from the consumers and industrial point of view. “ If the new power projects as assured by minister comes into effect , consumers of several remote villages of Sipajhar upto village Hazarikapara would be benefited . At the same time there will be sustainable revenue generation .”
The minister took stock of the revenue collection and power supply scenario from the officials of the Mangaldai Electrical Circle including its CEO, Manoj Kumar Amchi and reportedly expressed his satisfaction over revenue collection . He urged upon the officials and staff to render dedicated service . Earlier he also interacted with a section of local consumers in Sipajhar and took the feedback of the service from them . He sought cooperation from the consumers to develop the APDCL to a profit making organization . In his day long programme the minister also held discussions with power officials of Rangia and Nalbari and Tezpur Electrical Divisions and reviewed the functions of the respective offices, an official release received here stated..
