GUWAHATI : In Manipur, National President JP Nadda is arriving in Manipur today on the directions of Prime Minister Modi after repeated meetings with BJP National President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah over the Manipur Assembly elections. A senior Leader of the North East Democratic Alliance said today that bjp national president JP Nadda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had held a major meeting at the party headquarters in New Delhi yesterday morning over the Manipur assembly elections. According to reports, the big meeting of Nadda-Shah was attended by BJP’s National General Secretary Organisation – B L Santosh and Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, who was made in-charge of elections to Manipur, and sambit patra, the party’s state in-charge. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh was also called to discuss the preparations for the assembly elections in detail.
The meeting was convened late in the evening at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Friday and Amit Shah and JP Nadda sat till after midnight to discuss the strategy to win the assembly elections in Manipur. National President JP Nadda is arriving in Manipur today on the directions of Prime Minister Modi after the meeting. Bjp national president JP Nadda is said to have rushed to solve the problems within the party as discontent has started growing on the part of BJP MLAs against Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh. Sources said JP Nadda is arriving in the state on a two-day visit. He addressed a public meeting at Nambol, Imphal here. Addressing a public meeting, JP Nadda said, Manipur, led by Shri N. Biren Singh and BJP, is on the path of mainstream and development. Corruption, commission, criminalisation – We had a day-to-day sequence in Manipur before we formed the government. This was the situation on the ground- cases of kidnapping suo-way outside police stations. Under the leadership of Biren Singhji, there has been a change in many areas. Peace is the byproduct of the right Government you have created. From the agreement to rehabilitation, CM Biren Singh ji led by PM Modi has worked to bring everyone along. It has also given stability to the State. Bjp National President JP Nadda in his address also said that 1.56 lakh LPG gas connections have been provided free of cost to Manipur.
All these measures have made women more empowered. In the next few days, we would have given 100 crore doses of the vaccine. We are running the world’s largest and fastest vaccination programme under the leadership of PM Modi. J P Nadda said, “Athletes from Manipur have always excelled in global events. Out of 1,000 talented athletes selected under the Nationwide Khelo India programme, up to Rs 5 lakh will be spent every year. The political situation is said to be discussed in detail in a meeting with the Chief Minister of Manipur, the CONVENOR of THE NADA and the Chief Minister of Assam, Sarma and senior leaders at night. J P Nadda will then talk to disgruntled BJP MLAs on political equations in all the 60 seats in the state. In the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP had won 21 out of 60 seats in Manipur but it formed the government for the first time in the state with the support of a total of 32 MLAs by garnering the support of independents and mlas from regional parties.
