Vigilance Awareness Week observed at NTPC Bongaigaon

Kokrajhar: The Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed at National Thermal Power Station (NTPC) Bongaigaon situated at Salakati in Kokrajhar starting from today.

The event started with employees of the NTPC marking the day with Prabhat Pheri within the township of the station. Later, a vigilance oath was administered by Subrata Mandal, Executive Director, NTPC Bongaigaon in the presence of Ujjwal Sarkar, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), NTPC Bongaigaon and all departmental heads, employees of the station.

Mandal stressed on a corruption free society and urged employees and associates to be aware of various measures/ steps to make the organization vigilant and integrity based. 

This week marks for the organization to be vigilant and strive towards an integrity-based system constantly reminding to imbibe a professional and ethical culture within the company.

Vigilance oath was also observed inside the plant premises wherein T. Ravinder, GM (O&M), D.P.Patra, GM (Operations) administered the oath among the engineers of the plant.

Ravinder highlighted the role of a vigilant organization and also the perils of corruption in today’s date. 

The Vigilance Awareness Week will continue till 1st November, 2021.

The week-long celebration organized by the vigilance wing of the station will see various competitions and activities within and outside the organization with COVID appropriate behavior.
