In Karnataka, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has released an audio tape purportedly containing conversation of BJP state President Yeddyurappa with the son of JD(S) Gurmitkal MLA Nagangouda Kandakur.
Addressing a press conference in Bengaluru today, the Chief Minister charged that Yeddyurappa is heard saying in the recorded tape that legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar is paid 50 crore rupees to help BJP topple the state coalition Government.
He alleged that the tape proves that BJP is trying to destabilise the Government in the state. Kumaraswamy also charged that four Congress MLAs camping in Mumbai are restrained by BJP from attending the Budget session.
Rebutting the charges, Yeddyurappa has termed the tape as fake created to defame him and the party. He charged that both Congress and JD(S) have failed in keeping their legislators under their fold and are blaming him for it.
