Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma washed the feet of 95 veteran BJP workers associated with the party since the 1980s

Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J P Nadda inaugurated the party’s new state office in Assam’s capital Guwahati. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was also present on the occasion and washed the feet of senior BJP workers. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma washes feet of BJP workers. These workers have been associated with the BJP party in the state since before 1990. It was attended by 75 senior BJP leaders and a foot washing ceremony of these veteran BJP leaders was organised. These included bjp workers who have been associated with the BJP party in various positions in Assam since 1990.

Apart from Himanta Biswa Sarma, many big leaders of BJP were also present on this occasion. Himanta Biswa Sarma is seen washing the feet of BJP veterans.”Today is a proud day for the BJP Assam State Committee as Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National BJP President JP Nadda inaugurated the party office in Guwahati. On the other hand, JP Nadda laid the foundation stone of 9 district BJP offices and Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of 75 BJP mandal offices.

The new BJP office in Guwahati, which is a six-storey building built over an area of one lakh square feet, will have state-of-the-art facilities, complete with a guest house and a modern media centre. Party sources said the building has a seating capacity of 5,000 people. Another top party leader said the new structure, worth Rs 30 crore, has been built with donations from party workers. The building will have five meeting halls and a 350-seater auditorium. The foundation stone of this office was laid in February 2019 by Amit Shah, who was then the party president.
