Dhaka: The death toll in the explosion that took place at Gulistan area in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Tuesday morning has gone up to 16. Seven people are admitted to the nearby hospital in a critical condition. More than a 100 people are reportedly injured in the massive explosion.
Two buildings adjacent to the building where the explosion took place are also damaged. The power supply in the area has been cut off and the movement of vehicles has also been restricted.
The cause of the explosion is still not known. After visiting the injured in the hospital Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Khandker Golam Faruk told media that investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
