The Jammu and Kashmir administration is working on effective implementation of Himayat Mission, under which 42 projects have been sanctioned for training and placement target of 68,134 youths of Jammu and Kashmir.
Youth are provided free skill training for a duration ranging from 3 to 12 months. They will be trained in a range of skills with the provision to provide placement to every trained candidate.
In this regard, 63 Training centres have been set up within & outside the Union Territory with the enrolment of 5815 candidates.
About 4,000 candidates have been provided jobs so far in the private sector.
