ASSOCHAM Telangana & Andhra Pradesh State Development Council Appoints New Co-Chairperson for Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada: Mr. Bansidhar Bandi, Vice President, Steel Exchange India Limited, has been appointed as the Co-Chairperson of The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) Andhra Pradesh State Development Council for the year 2024-25. The announcement was made at the recently held joint meeting of the ASSOCHAM Telangana & Andhra Pradesh State Development Council in Hyderabad.
Mr. Bandi was welcomed by Mr. Kataru Ravi Kumar Reddy, Chairperson of the Telangana & Andhra Pradesh State Development Council & CMD of AXIS Energy Group and Mr. Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Co-Chairperson of the Telangana State Development Council & Founder-CEO of CtrlS Datacenters.
Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Bandi says “It is an honour to be appointed as the Co-Chairperson for the Andhra Pradesh chapter of such an esteemed industry body and I look forward to collaborating with my fellow council members, industry peers and the Andhra Pradesh government to create a business environment that fosters industrial growth and represent the interests of the entrepreneurs of the state at the national level.”
Mr. Bandi has extensive experience working with both the government (NITI Aayog) as well as the private sector, in areas such as steel, energy, natural resources, and circular economy.
Established in 1920, ASSOCHAM stands as India’s oldest apex chamber, leveraging its extensive network of over 4,50,000 members, with a significant representation from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The chamber is committed to providing actionable insights to fortify the Indian ecosystem and has a strong presence in states and key cities globally. ASSOCHAM encompasses over 400 associations, federations, and regional chambers, advocating for the interests of various industries.
With more than 100 national and regional sector councils, ASSOCHAM plays a pivotal role in representing the Indian industry. These councils, led by eminent industry leaders, academicians, economists, and professionals, focus on aligning industry needs with the nation’s growth aspirations.
The focus of the ASSOCHAM Andhra Pradesh State Development Council is to give more fillip to Steel, Marine & Aqua Sector, MSME, Hospitality & Tourism, Agri & Food Processing, by engaging with the Government and interfacing with Industry Leaders from these sectors in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The Council will facilitate & guide to conduct programs, projects, publication & other activities focusing on socio-economic development indicators with an objective to serve our members & non-member partners in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
